A month ago, I decided to start my own business as an Amway distributor. I know there are many opinions about this company—some good, some not so good. I encourage you to learn a bit more about the company's purpose and why it was founded. It is important to understand that the company's main goal is to build communities where people improve their quality of life through the human connections they form and by using the products. The products are of excellent quality. There is no pressure to commit, either; if you don't like a product, you have 180 days to return it. I realize the prices are higher than those of standard market products, but remember, you are paying for guaranteed quality. Quality speaks for itself! For example, instead of buying your deodorant, shampoo, or toothpaste at your usual supermarket, buy them from a family member, friend, or acquaintance who sells Amway products. This way, you are helping someone you know build a business. Most importantly, there is no obligation: if you don't like the product, you can return it and get a refund. Complimentary registration
One of the biggest advantages of the Amway business is that it is affordable to get started. There is no new IBO registration fee and no requirement to purchase or carry any inventory. The only time you need inventory is when you choose to have it. We ship the product from our warehouses to you or your customers when they place an order with you.

Registration is complimentary for new IBOs. The term of the IBO Contract expires at the end of each calendar year, unless registration occurred between September 1 and December 31, in which case the term of the first contract is extended to the end of the following calendar year. If an IBO chooses to renew their Amway business at the end of any contract year, the IBO must pay a $71* annual business renewal cost.

Support from a team of entrepreneurs
Even though you're in business for yourself, as an IBO you are never alone. You'll join a group of entrepreneurs striving for success with Amway. The people you meet will be happy to offer advice or serve as mentors. By talking to others who have been where you are, you will gain insight into their experiences that can help you grow your own Amway business.

A way to earn money through direct selling
The Amway opportunity offers multiple ways to earn money through product sales. First, you can make money from the retail markup of selling products directly to customers. Amway’s high quality products are not sold in stores, and IBOs can set their own prices when selling to customers.

The second way to earn money with Amway is through monthly bonuses based on the quantity and value of the products you sell – the higher the sales volume, the more money you can earn.

Additionally, if you sponsor other IBOs and grow your sales team, you can earn money based on their product sales. You can earn another monthly bonus based on the sales volume of the products they sell, too.

Meeting milestones and goals as a team can result in some discretionary incentives, as well, including cash rewards or business trips. You can sell to people in person or online, however you feel most comfortable. And there are no minimum quotas.
