Braiders listen up! I’m bout to roll down on yall about messing up my clients hair. What’s so hard about shampooing and conditioning the hair, using a protective barrier on the clients hair as well as using quality braid hair and not that cheap hard fiber yall call hair? Also, clean that hair from chemicals before installing or finding or collaborating with a black owned chemical free brand like or ? I don’t mind my clients going to get braids but this is ridiculous because you know damn well they sat in your chair with healthy hair from root to ends, so when you see that they come for a second or third time and it isn’t the same quality of health then you as a professional should step back and say “Hey how do I make this better or what can I do to not ruin my clients hair?” This is insane… This post in particular is two different young clients that I had grown their hair back out for damage as they were in sports. One then went to get braided back to back as she would be super busy for her lacrosse season. The second was busy with work and wanted to try famous female basketball players braider (won’t name) because she trusted it would be quality. This is what they came back with!! 😡 At what point do you hold the ones doing the work accountable? Y’all are literally making stylist that care and specialize in healthy hair work hell and exhausted. 😞
