BODYWORK OR BREATHWORK??

we can work on the surface all day. but if we’re not acknowledging what’s underneath, then we stay on the surface, stay in the loop.

if you’ve been prioritizing bodywork (which is so great! keep doing that) but if you’ve are still coming up against chronic inflammation/disorders/pain, it’s time to bring breathwork into the mix.

chronic pain/inflammation/auto immune disorders, etc have deep emotional roots.

accessing these deeper roots is surprisingly easy AND it can be a little intimidating- choosing to work through the emotional webs that live in the body can be scary.

but i promise you, once you start to become aware of where emotion lives in your body and you experience that you can actually move and free those emotions and chronic pain from the body, it all becomes so easy.

your issues are in your tissues!! bring breathwork in, break the pattern, break the cycle, and watch your life change in really big ways

the question is, can you get out of your own way and let it be easy?

of course you can 😉 you just have to choose to

LIGHT OR DEEP TOUCH?

social media exhausts me 😮‍💨

a lot of information- some good. some informative. some trash. lots of ego.

fortunately and unfortunately lymphatic massage is a trend. and so the vast information on socials is a mixed bag of informative/useful/trash

lots of lymphatic therapists will tell you light touch is the only appropriate method for lymph drainage. as a lymph drainage therapist that trained in the Vodder method, which is feather light touch, i can tell you that is simply not true. both light and deep touch can be effective for lymph drainage

i’m very wary of anyone professing that there is only one “way” one “method”

it’s giving cult.

instead of judging and throwing shade at any method that isn’t yours, maybe have an open mind and remember that there is room for all of the healing lymphatic methods. and if you haven’t trained and learned ALL the other lymph drainage methods out there, then 🤫 i don’t wanna hear it

a successful lymph treatment is going to involve results, trusting your therapist- their intention, their ability to stay present with you and what your body needs, education and CONTINUED education (because we’re never done) this can be achieved lots of ways.

mid-summer local yoga retreat anyone?

6 days of yoga- specifically Mysore Yoga…

Jackie will lead you into the magic of the mysore primary series. each day you’ll learn a piece of the practice, repeat it, attempt to commit it to memory, come back and do it all again the next day, adding on another piece of the series. it takes practice. patience. repetition. oh, and really good teachers 😉

we’ll meet at 6:30am Mon - Fri at Remedy in Haddonfield, then field trip over to South Philly Saturday at 9am and experience 1/2 led primary series with Meghan Marshall at her shala Mysore Yoga Philadelphia.

mysore yoga isn’t always easy to find. having such great teachers in our backyard is gift! come give it a try. connect with the practice, give a nod and acknowledge this deeply healing lineage of yoga 🧘☮️

✨LYMPHATIC FACE TREATMENT🤩✨

extra popular this time of year because of allergies and her heavy bags of symptoms- showing up not just under your eyes, in your face/neck/head/joints, everywhere.

lymphatic massage is well known in its effectiveness for relieving fluid retention/bloating, etc. but did you know getting daily lymphatic massages can help strengthen your immune system?

our white blood cells (infection fighters) mature in the lymphatic system. pathogens and viruses use the lymphatic system as a highway to spread and get around. brining these treatments into your life as a daily, preventative measure will greatly support and strengthen your immune system over time- so that it can show up for you when you need it.

the neck has the most amount of lymph nodes in the body- the proximity to the eyes, ears, nose and mouth is no accident. this is where we are most vulnerable.

lymphatic treatments, specifically for the face, address aesthetic concerns but there is so much more really potent, important healing that these treatments initiate in the body and immune system.

if you haven’t tried this treatment yet, it may be time. com nerd out with me and your lymphatic system 🤓

SPRING CLASS SCHEDULE 🌱🌾🌻

🚨‼️5 new classes (and more to come) w/ some pretty amazing teachers- Laura, Ralph and Holly

what’s your body asking for today?? we don’t have to do the same movement every day. often we get stuck in a wheel of moving out of obligation, instead of asking our body what they want to do. you may have a strong vinyasa practice but today your body’s asking for yin- or vice versa. maybe it’s not physical movement today and your body is asking for breathwork (duh 😆) …

the message here is …meet yourself where you are. tune into that beautiful body and listen. when you start this practice, shift happens in the best way 🤯

VIRTUAL CLASSES- we have them!!
Rachelle’s Sunrise Yoga
Carrie’s Somatic Pilates
Sheila’s Breathwork…
ALL have a virtual option 🤩

there’s a very special variety of classes here… wanna try something new?

BREATHWORK IMMERSION (2 weeks)

cultivate your at home meditation practice 🧘

we’ll meet in person for the FIRST and LAST class to come together as a group and share and set intentions. all other classes in between will be virtual, 20 minute sessions.

big shifts happen in one class. can you imagine what will happen when you do this every day?? the answer is 🤯🤩

if you can’t make the in person classes and want to participate virtually the whole time, that works! reach out to me directly and I will sign you up.

What are you waiting for? shift happens when you give something a try 😉
