Fun fact: I was homeschooled!
From elementary school up to basically high school i essentially taught myself. Lol I actually loved being homeschooled- it gave me so much autonomy and ownership over learning. I still love learning to this day and if there is anything you need to know about a home school kid- it's that we're real DIY-ers lol π
I've pierced 7 of my 13 piercings, given myself a tattoo, taught myself how to do hair and makeup, often do my own nails, and really have this totally delusional confidence that I could kinda figure anything out and make it happen. π

Paired with ADHD and its a real party over here. π€
But honestly- Homeschooling was such a wonderful experience. One that didn't shelter me, but rather, opened a world of possibilities because we weren't stuck to the more rigid construction of a school day. We traveled, did sports, could be super involved in things, take days off and double up the next, go on spontaneous adventures, and so much more.
We lived a childhood full of creativity. It Low-key felt like The Magic School Bus vibes on the daily. And we loved living history. Like in a totally nerdy sheltered homeschool way. π€£ We wore so many olden time period clothing from all different centuries just because (and my mom can sow really well and made us all these costumes). We had a childhood free of screens and full of wonder.
So much credit to my parents who felt homeschooling wasn't about hiding us away from the world and controlling us- it was about helping us learn in a custom way that would make us more successful and actually enjoy it! It was about having more options- not less.
I'm grateful everyday for the experiences, freedom, creativity, self motivation, independence, and desire to be a life long learner it provided.
Curious if I have any homeschooling friends?! Drop your favorite homeschooling memory if so!

It's always been more than just hair or makeup. It's confidence on display. It's helping women feel empowered. It's being a part of someone's special moment and helping them feel their best for it!
For over 18 years, I've never once not wanted to go to work. And this is exactly why. I have THE BEST clients and I feel honored and deeply responsible for the power this job holds.
If you've ever wanted to sit in my chair, I'm booking for 2027 and 2028, and dates will fill up fast as I book on a first come first serve basis! π
We didn't get to do a bridal trial because she is from out of town, so I wanted to make sure to get a thorough consult ( we had a way longer convo before I started recording).
She mentioned she's more combo/oily and tends to sweat. So I made sure all our layers were locked in and we utilized powders for a lightweight long-wear hold.
I also love the hair inspo she gave me and I had so much fun with this over all look! π
How do you think we did?!
