The truth about trims āāā
If youāre struggling to retain length, one of the biggest reasons could be that youāre waiting too long between trims.
When you allow your ends to become severely damaged, it can sometimes mean needing to remove more hair later. Consistent trims help protect the progress youāve already made by keeping your ends healthy and preventing unnecessary breakage.
& once split end starts, it doesnāt just stay at the bottom of the hair. It can continue traveling up the hair shaft, causing more damage over time.
Thatās why I recommend trims every 6ā8 weeks
And letās clear the air againā¦ a trim is NOT a haircut. āØ
Your first appointment may require more of a haircut if there are a lot of damaged ends that need to be removed. But after that, consistent trims should be part of your healthy hair routine. When you stay on schedule, you shouldnāt need a large amount removed every visit.
Healthy hair doesnāt have to be complicated. Find a stylist you trust, stay consistent, and follow a routine that aligns with your hair goals.
