The Ivy Hill Farm Apple Dessert Contest returns on October 24! Contestants of all ages are invited to showcase their favorite apple-inspired creations and compete for sweet bragging rights. Whether you're entering the contest or simply stopping by to sample the delicious desserts, it's a wonderful way to enjoy a fun community event while supporting a meaningful cause.

All Veterans are invited! HWC’s Veteran Breakfast, sponsored by the Michael G. Callas Foundation, will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 9:00 AM at the Morris Frock American Legion Post #42, 405 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD.

Maxwell “Max” Niessner Su***de Prevention and Awareness Fund donated $1,225 to Hospice of Washington’s International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day support workshop.

Jim and Pamela Carlin Niessner created this fund in memory of their son to provide education and awareness for the prevention of su***de to help other families not endure such a loss. We thank the Niessner family for their generosity and for caring for our community.

Today is Gold Star Mother’s Day, observed on the last Sunday of September, a day dedicated to remembering and honoring the mothers and families of service members who made the ultimate sacrifice.
