Time goes by so fast! First day of school for these kids and a look back at the last 4 years for my senior (I’m not crying, you’re crying!)

Noeli’s Homecoming 2023❤️ I cannot believe there is only one more to go! Transition takes time, and knocking out red is a pain in the a$$, but this one is coming along nicely. I love the autumn leaves vibes without it being in your face red. Who’s ready for fall????

Deep conditioners and hair masks are FANTASTIC all the time, but in the fall and winter seasons they are a game changer.

The air (especially in Wisconsin) is dry. And just like your skin, it needs the extra moisture💦. Doing a treatment once a week can help give your hair the moisture it needs and it makes a big difference in static as well (this is more of a winter issue, but a once a week treatment will help).

Dry hair is frizzy, brittle and usually had static. It will literally break off and cause split ends. And split ends lead to more hair cuts needed, and usually shorter cuts then your desired length. Not to mention dry hair doesn’t hold color as well

Try using a deep conditioner or hair mask once a week to help. You don’t have to go up to your roots if you’re worried about your roots getting oily (although, your scalp is skin, and skin needs moisture so it doesn’t hurt- I usually do in the winter when my scalp begs for it). 20 minutes a week. Put a plastic cap on to lock in the moisture. I personally like to go for treatments that a double duty like Olaplex N°8 that’s a moisture mask and bond multiplier. It doesn’t HAVE to be this one, it’s just one of the many I like. Plus I’m lazy and like the idea of my products doing multiple things while only using one!

If you’re starting to get grey, highlights are your best option. Raise your hand if you want the lazy route to blending them instead of covering them 🙋‍♀️- or double that works too!!

Highlights are lower maintenance then all over color or even a color retouch (meaning you don’t have to come in every 4 weeks)! Keeping brighter highlights on the cooler side (especially around the face where we tend to see grey pop up first) will help blend those grey hairs in. And depending on how much grey you have naturally depends on how heavy you want that highlighted look to be (or if you just want a lighter look in general, that’s ok too).

Grey blending is probably 50% or more of what I do everyday behind the chair. No one stays 25 forever after all. Just because we have a few (or a bunch-we are not all the same after all), doesn’t mean you have to look like you have them.
