Oi milk, sea salt spray and a curl diffuser is all you need! Refine the front sections with a few loose iron curls and voila!

This winter I have already had numerous people reach out to me about having dry/flaky scalp so I think it's time we open this topic up for discussion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let's be real, it happens to all of us and can happen due to a variety of different reasons.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Stress⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Weather⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Product build up⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Excessive washing⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Eczema⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is a big difference between dry scalp and dandruff. Both resulting in flaking.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So what is the difference? The most basic answer is dandruff is typically caused from a fungal infection. I want to reassure most of you now, its extremely unlikely you have real dandruff. 96% of my clients who bring this to my attention just have dry scalp.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What can you do to avoid this?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Please do not shampoo your hair every day. Dry scalp happens when natural oils that condition your scalp are stripped away by shampoo.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Cheap products mess with the PH of your skin on your head. Professional products are made from quality ingredients.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. You can purchase the Davines Purifying Shampoo. It's a godsent! This is a treatment shampoo that has the smallest amount of Selenium Sulfide (0.6%) which is found in prescription shampoos to assist with dry scalp or dandruff in severe situations.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I walked out of work today feeling so grateful. Grateful that my business stood for its first year, grateful for my mother who is my rock, grateful for clients who treat me like family. This was such an incredible year for me. I worked so hard, shed many tears, shared endless laughs and most importantly achieved so much. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
