We went from 2 hives to 3 hives this week! 🐝

Our new bees (or should I say newbees hehe) are doing so well that they were getting ready to swarm. When a hive prepares to reproduce, the bees start raising a new queen and the old queen leaves with about half the colony to find a new home.

We caught them before that happened and performed a split instead, moving half of the bees and the old queen into a new hive to simulate a natural swarm.

The best part? Both hives are already capping honey! 🍯

While looking for an extra bottle of shampoo, I came across this old bottle of magnesium spray from before Queen Bee Remedies existed.

Back then I was making magnesium spray and propolis tincture for myself and then I would share the extra bottles with family and friends. The remedies were working for everyone and they kept telling me I should start selling it. Eventually I listened and Queen Bee Remedies was born!

Finding this bottle was a nice reminder of where it all started.
