RBBI’s Back to School Event succeeded because businesses, organizations, volunteers, students, and alumni showed up for our families.

Together, we provided:
✂️ 147 students with free haircuts
🎒 400 students with backpacks and supplies
🌭 Hot dogs and burgers for our guests and volunteers
🍧 Snow cones, games, music, resources, and family fun

Thank you to Hot Dog El Buda for the hot dogs, Mirna’s for cooking burgers, Guanajuato Bakery for the pan dulce, Daesy’s Tropical Sno for keeping everyone cool, The Party Plugg for the axe-throwing game, and Jazz Clef Radio for the music and dancing!

Thank you to Tadeo’s Rentals for the tents, tables, and chairs that gave families shade and a place to rest, and I Am His for the amazing Back to School shirts worn by our volunteers.

Our volunteer booths—Child Care Associates, The Shaken Baby Alliance, Cook Children’s, Veronica Mendoza with State Farm, and Refuge Church—shared snacks, swag, resources, and support.

🎓 MEET OUR RBBI FUTURE PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP FINALISTS!🎉

The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here.

During our Annual Back To School Event, we had the honor of announcing the three finalists for the inaugural RBBI Future Professionals Scholarship! ❤️

Each of these individuals shared a story of challenge, resilience, determination, and the future they hope to build—and each earned the opportunity to move forward to the final stage of our scholarship process.

But their journey isn't over yet.

Now, we want to get to know the person behind each application.

Over the coming weeks, our three finalists will visit Riverside Barber & Beauty Institute for a campus tour and personal interview. We'll learn more about who they are, what drives them, the career they hope to build, and how they would take advantage of the opportunity to receive a full tuition education at RBBI.

And we want YOU to get to know them, too. 👀🎥

We'll be sharing pieces of their journeys along the way as we search for the future professional who will become the first-ever recipient of the RBBI Future Professionals Scholarship.
