Skin and Nails By Liann

Hello, to all of Liann's clients and friends. I'm Liann's husband, Brad. It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to bring the news that yesterday, January 12th, Liann passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly.

Liann was the light in my life. She helped me through some of my darkest times. She taught me how to love, how to be loved, and was always there to support me unconditionally, as I was for her. She brought out the best in everyone she ever met, and was a bright spot in every life she touched.

Liann and I are part of a social group called Buffalo Friendship Club. Their love, help, and support has been more than I could ever hope or ask for in dealing with this. They were kind enough to set up a Gofundme to help pay for Liann's final expenses, which can be found here:

I'm not going to ask you all to donate, but if, for whatever reason, you cannot then if you could please spread the link around, that would be greatly appreciated.

At this time, Liann's family and I are asking for privacy while we take care of everything that comes with this. I know some people may want to send things like cards and wellwishes and the like. The owners of Pawsh Paws Pet Parlor, directly below Liann's business space, have been kind enough to agree to accept and hold anything of that sort for us, should anyone want to do that.

On a personal note, I want to thank everyone who came to Liann for her services. Starting her own business was a huge leap of faith for her. One that I encouraged her to do, knowing that it was a life dream of hers and that she would excel at it. What made her happy was making people happy, and these past few years were some of her happiest, thanks to all of your support and patronage. Thank you, for helping her realize her dream.

Let this be a lesson that even licensed nail techs, make mistakes.
Earlier this month I wanted to try a new base and top coat for myself at home. I didn't have as much research as I thought and decided to just, give it a go. Mid way through last week I was having IMMENSE finger tip pain, no blistering but red and kinda swollen, a reaction. Thankfully I didn't develop contact dermatitis or onycholysis and decided to remove my polish before it got worse. So let this be a lesson, to anyone who tries something at home. I'll stick to my tried and true DND and Luminary.
