Do you think we trust big beauty brands more because their products are better… or simply because we’ve heard their names our whole lives? 👀

I’ve purchased NUMEROUS hair products over the years without ever really stopping to think about what was actually in them. I knew the brand, saw other people using it, liked what the bottle said… so I bought it. 😂😭🤣

And to be fair, I came across some GOOD products too. There was actually one brand that worked really well for my hair, and that made me start thinking differently.

Every product isn’t going to work for everybody. What my hair loves, yours might not — and vice versa.

But we’ll spend money trying product after product from brands we recognize without thinking twice. So why are we sometimes hesitant to try something new from a smaller brand that puts thought into its ingredients and formulation? 🌿

You never know what your hair might love until you give something different a chance.

So I’m curious… when you buy hair products, what makes you trust them first: the BRAND NAME, the INGREDIENTS, or the RESULTS? 👀👇🏾

Building Above All Roots has definitely been a journey. Some weeks the orders are coming in, some weeks things are quiet. Some ideas work exactly how I pictured them, and others send me right back to the drawing board 😂.

But through it all, I’m still here.

Still creating. Still learning. Still perfecting. Still coming up with new ideas. And most importantly, still building.

Okayyyy… sometimes you really don’t notice the difference until you put the pictures side by side! 😭

The first picture was taken July 1st and the second is my hair NOW.

I’ve been staying consistent with taking care of my hair, keeping it moisturized and giving my roots the attention they need — and yes, I’ve been using my own Above All Roots products along the way. 🌿

THIS is why I love documenting the journey. Sometimes the progress is happening even when you don’t see it day to day.
