Sometimes, we have to do it for ourselves and that’s enough. 👑

Melissa came in with beautiful locs. Everyone in the shop loved their length, volume, and shape, and she said she hears that all the time. But she wanted more length. It was something she desired for herself.

This experience reminded me how easily we can place our own preferences on someone else’s vision. Once the installation was complete and I saw how happy she was, I understood: no one else knew her mission. That transformation and that moment belonged entirely to her.

My Semi “Big Chop” — Loc Edition ✂️✨

Y’all, I needed a change! Yes, it’s been hot, and I definitely wanted my hair off my neck, but this was about more than just a new look.

I’ve realized that I’m a self-motivator. The first half of this year brought so much stress: running my business, navigating the home-buying process, and experiencing the highs and lows of my father’s health and passing.

Sometimes, change is how I remind myself that I’m still moving forward. This “big chop” gave me the fresh energy I needed to stay motivated, feel excited again, and remain hopeful about the promises still to come.

So here’s to releasing the weight, embracing change, and stepping boldly into the next chapter. 👑

Y’all… did I really agree to add ANOTHER 10 inches to the 16 inches she already had?! 🤯😂

Am I bugging? Maybe. 😅

They say, “The client is always right.” I don’t always agree… but when my clients have a vision, I’m going to do everything I can to bring it to life.

And whew… was it worth it! 🔥
