Last week, we received news that my oldest sister, Kellie, would need to have emergency open-heart surgery to remove a mass inside her heart. Pieces were breaking off and traveling to her brain causing numerous mini-strokes and brain bleeds. It was a battle between the heart and brain surgeons, and a race against time.

The surgery was a success, thanks to the amazing team at . It has been a whirlwind and I still can’t believe it all happened within 1 day of finding this information out.

It was a gut check for me to even think about the possibility of losing her and I am forever thankful to the great God upstairs for watching over her and guiding that surgeon’s hands.

She will be out for quite some time, and things like this happening are obviously unexpected and never ideal. I am passing along a GoFund me that was set up for her by one of her friends to help soften the blow and help her to rest easier while recovering. If you are able to help, no matter how small, I would be forever grateful.

Hug your loved ones tight and always tell them you love them. I know I am about to be reaaaaaally annoying about this.
