How to use your BRAIN in pregnancy!
And, really, this tool can be used in any decision making process in life.
Have you heard of this trick before?

First off - no matter where you are on your journey to loving your body prekids, no kids, post kids, etc - YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YOUR BODY IS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF !
June 2019 me was stuck in a cycle of beachbody, weight watchers, random YouTube workouts and barely able to run a mile without being physically out of breath. I survived on caffeine and craved sweets 24/7 and probably drank more alcohol socially than necessary (hello bloating!)
Weight watchers always helped me get the baby weight off but ultimately I still felt skinny fat where the baby weight was gone but I wasn’t toned and I lacked strength and energy.
This third time postpartum, I wanted something different. I wanted to learn how to work with my body to have sustainable FAT LOSS, build muscle, and maintain my milk supply while breastfeeding. Because why wait until I’m done breastfeeding to support my body to be the best mom I can be. I’ve been working with the coaches at for the last 7-8 months and I’m down just over 40 lbs!
I’m smaller than I was pre kids and basically as small as I was in high school. My favorite joes jeans I got my junior year of high school that I’ve refused to get rid of…too big. These Old Navy jeans that have carried me through every postpartum period are now too big!
Aside from the weight loss, I feel like I have more energy without the caffeine, the strength to keep up with my busy kids and carrying all their things to soccer, baseball, and dance. I feel more present, patient, and confident.
This program is designed to teach you how food is fuel and starving our bodies for the sake of low cal and low carb diets just doesn’t work and it’s not how our bodies were designed. My coach just recently upped my calories and I still hit a new low on the scale this week! It’s all about the process, the support, and the guidance to follow your body’s needs.
If you want more info, send me a message and I’ll get you a link or you can head to their page and fill out the form (put my name as a referral and we both get a little bonus 😘)

Sometimes stepping away is just necessary. If you’ve ever lived in a reno, especially with kids, then you know the toll it can take.
We can finally see the light amidst the never ending list of projects!
Going to be sharing more on our hall closet and main floor bathroom updates soon! Goodbye black toilet 👋🏼
This cup has been a Della fave since it arrived in the mail! I love that it’s stainless steel and has an easy open cap but still leak proof!
They have so many cute patterns and even an attachment to help with open cup drinking instead of the straw!

So many moms come into a second (or third) pregnancy carrying fear from a previous birth.
Fear that it can’t be different.
Fear that it won’t be calm.
Fear that they won’t know what to ask for or how to speak up.
This mama went into her second birth prepared, informed, and confident — and even when things didn’t go exactly as planned (hello unplanned unmedicated✊🏼), she still described it as the birth of her dreams!
That’s the power of individualized education, mindset, and support.
Birth doesn’t have to be perfect to be empowering.

What to expect at your 28 weeks prenatal appointment!
Routine vitals like blood pressure, weight, and quick doppler heart tones of your baby. Also, you’ll p*e in a cup to check for glucose or protein in your urine!
Fundal height is the measurement of the uterus from the outside of the abdomen where your provider will use a tape measure to measure from your p***c bone to the top of the uterus and most often your gestational weeks = the number in cm on the tape measure. Any discrepancy here >2 weeks may warrant an addditional growth ultrasound to check on baby’s size 📏
Glucose Tolerance Test - check out my latest reel for more info on that one!
Offered tDap 💉- the recommendation for this during pregnancy is to help protect your newborn against pertussis - (the “p” part of the name). It’s also recommended that anyone who plans to be in close contact with your baby like your spouse or nanny also get this in preparation for delivery! Moms getting in pregnancy can help to pass some antibodies to baby and protect both mom and baby from the infection.
Routine prenatal labs consist of a complete blood count to monitor things like white blood cells and hemoglobin, and then another round of checking for immunity to rubella and reactivity to infections like chlamydia.
Some mamas may also have an additional ultrasound around this time if the anatomy scan had suboptimal views or if placenta placement was being monitored!
