Dance Party Friday 🪩 coming in hooooot with a lil this week.

One of my favorite sequences for lower back relief. And no better way to get a Thai massage than outside. ☀️

Did y'all forget about dance party Fridays!? Because I sure didn't. 😜

A little Stick Mobility flow to help connect and mobilize the hips, spine, and shoulders. This would make a great and effective warm up for pickle ball, tennis, or even golf! And there's more going on than just the movement that you see here.

Sure, I'm lunging and twisting but the real work is the muscle power you can't see. During each lunge I am actively pulling (or sometimes pushing in) on the stick. Meaning I am activating the tissues in my upper body just as much as my lower body. You also can't tell that during the hip hinge and squat I am pressing the stick into the ground.

This combination of irradation and movement can create stability within the joints, kick-starts your nervous system to send a stronger neural drive to the moving joints increasing overall strength, aaaaand teaches your brain to safely manage the force on the joints as they move through their entire range of motion.

Mobility training is more than creating space and increasing flexibility, it's strength training at its core! A way to teach your body to control itself through every step of the way!

And I know that may be an unpopular opinion with body and energy workers.
