Veteran Owned & Operated! Our bodies are adaptive and can heal fully if given the right tools. My name is Samantha Story, CMT #0019012966.

My philosophy is ea body's unique; experiences, injuries, emotions, past & present environments & practices change and mold the body into & out of balance. Here at Body & Mind Therapeutic Oasis the goal is to help the client find a balance that benefits both their body and their mind. I utilize the Cayce/Reilly Holistic Massage technique which is a combination of the following practices to help the body heal, repair, renew, and return to its natural balance. Swedish Massage
Osteopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine
I am also able to utilize myofascial release, deep tissue massage, acupressure, and trigger point therapy as needed to individualize the session. Additionally, I am a certified practitioner in Reiki Level II, Basic Acupressure, and Reflexology Level V (working towards my practitioner certification).

One day they’ll stop appearing beside me every time I change rooms.

But for now, my presence is still where they instinctively want to land.

Yes, it can be relentless. Yes, sometimes I’d quite like to go to the bathroom alone.

But beneath all that following is something rather beautiful:

They feel safest where I am. ❤️

Do you know milk thistle?

Milk thistle is a flowering plant that is part of the daisy family. It gets its name from its bristly and prickly nature and the “milky” sap that oozes out of the plant.

The leaves, fruits, and seeds of milk thistle have been used for centuries as a natural medicine.

Milk thistle is one of the world’s most powerful liver detoxifying agents.

Hmmm... what do you think?

The best natural remedy for inflammation in the digestive tract is cabbage juice!

It contains L-glutamine, which has been shown to reduce inflammation with no negative side effects.

Depending on the severity of your inflammation, you may want to consume 1 cup to 1 quart or liter of cabbage juice a day.

Just make sure it’s fresh, raw organic cabbage juice! It can be green or red.

THIS IS HOW TO PROCESS YOUR FEELINGS WITHOUT LETTING THEM CONTROL YOU...

Difficult emotions don’t need to be suppressed, ignored, or acted on immediately. Anger, sadness, fear, jealousy, and disappointment are part of being human.
The goal isn’t to never feel them— it’s to understand them.

1. PAUSE
Before reacting, stop. Breathe. Give yourself a moment to notice what you’re feeling.

2. NAME IT
Instead of becoming “I am angry,” recognize: “Anger is here.” Naming an emotion can create a little distance between you and the reaction.

3. FEEL IT
Don’t immediately run from discomfort. Sit with the feeling without judging yourself. Notice the thoughts and sensations that come with it.

4. ASK WHY
What triggered you? What expectation, fear, attachment, or unmet need is underneath the emotion?

5. RELEASE
Breathe. Journal. Walk. Meditate. Talk to someone you trust. Release the emotion without pretending the situation was okay.

6. SHIFT
Once you understand what you’re feeling, choose your next action consciously. Redirect your energy toward something constructive instead of reacting from the emotion.

✨ You don’t have to eliminate difficult emotions to find peace.

You just have to learn how to feel them without becoming them.
That is where awareness becomes freedom. 🕊️

September is Su***de Prevention Month, an important reminder that conversations about mental health matter.

Within law enforcement, it can be easy to keep moving, handle the next call, and put your own well-being aside. But no one has to wait until things become overwhelming to reach out, talk with someone they trust, or ask for help.

This month, we encourage our VSPA community to keep looking out for one another. Check in with the people around you. Make time for the conversation. And remember that reaching out for yourself matters, too.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

You are not alone.

There is a space in you
That can never be touched

There is a place in you
That can never be harmed

There is a strength in you
That can never be stolen

There is a faith in you
That can never be shaken

There is a voice in you
That can never be silenced

There is a peace in you
That can never be disrupted

There is a fire in you
That can never be extinguished

There is a joy in you
That can never be diminished

There is a spirit in you
That can never be broken

There is a dream in you
That can never be forgotten

There is a hope in you
That can never be crushed

And there is a love in you
That can never be lost.
