Daily, there are so many things to be worried about and reasons to feel stress. Racial tensions and injustices are steadily on the front page. Senseless violence happening every day. The economy is unpredictable. Those we thought were reliable disappoint us. The list goes on. It can feel overwhelming. Though it may feel things are consistently getting worse, there is a sure thing that is constant, and that is God’s love for us.

It’s in His love that we can find comfort. It’s in His love that He promises to never leave or forsake us. In His love, we can find the peace that surpasses all understanding. When we place our faith in God and trust His word, we can find rest despite all of what is going on around us. This does not mean we’re passive in our daily living, but instead it means we get active about seeking Him for what’s next. When we trust God’s love, we’re able to know He has it all under control and He will guide our steps.

Lord, thank You for loving us through all that is going on in the world. While we may not be able to make sense of it all, we trust You and Your promises. Help us to not place our faith in what we see, but instead let us place our hope and faith on You, in Jesus name, Amen! 😇
