Yes, your natural lashes shed. That is completely normal. Your extensions are attached to your natural lash, so when that lash reaches the end of its growth cycle, the extension sheds with it.
But excessive lash loss, pulling, tugging, or discomfort shouldn't simply be dismissed as “normal shedding.”
Proper isolation and application matter. When lashes aren't properly isolated, stickies can occur—causing natural lashes to become attached to one another. As those lashes grow and move through different stages of their cycle, that tension can cause unnecessary pulling and premature loss.
And if you've been told you're allergic to lash adhesive because you've experienced burning or itching, let's have that conversation before assuming that's the only explanation. Irritation, sensitivity, adhesive fumes, application technique, and other factors can all play a role.
Beautiful lashes shouldn't mean sacrificing the health or comfort of your natural lashes. 🤍
