Confidence is key, I finally have mine back, after a long journey. My smile is a big part of my confidence, this has also helped me feel confident enough to go back to my natural dark af brown hair. I'm me, in the purest form. I wish 14 year old me could see this day, we've made it, we've embraced ourselves. I'm a plus size beautiful woman and will always love myself and my body from here on out. I'll continue to work to lose weight for my health and only my health.

For those who don't know, today is su***de prevention day and just wanted to take the time to share my story, TRIGGER WARNING I used to self harm as a young pr***en and teenager. It was a scary and hard time for me in middle school. Everyone told me I had nothing to be depressed about etc. So by the time I was 12 years old i had decided to kill myself, I'd picked the method the day and the time. The only thing I had to figure out was where I would get the rope... I was going about my days writing notes to who i loved and coming to terms with my decision. Well one day not long before the decided upon day my mom and I got into a physical incident and she took me to the Gettysburg emergency room to see the crisis people. She told them something was not right with me and that she couldn't take me home that I needed to be taken inpatient to figure out what was happening. So we stayed there for like 3 hours in our mini van with both my brothers waiting for them to find a place with an available bed for me. She called my dad once they found a place for me and told him to take the time to drive up to this place so he was there to help with the intake. I ended up at philhaven in mt gretna. I stayed there for 13 days near the end of October. That first night I cried myself to sleep. The time spent there was mostly therapy sessions, there was group therapy and individual therapy. Plus you had to ask to use the bathroom and you weren't allowed to go in your room during the day until they deemed you safe. I finally got my diagnosis I have autism spectrum disorder and a mood disorder that they couldn't name because I was too young I also had PTSD and a bunch of other stuff. They put me on prozac and it helped they gave us information on how to change my daily life to better help with the autism and other things. I went from inpatient to outpatient and it seemed to help. Then I ended up back at school like 3 months later. I lasted 2 years or so in school again before I had a panic attack (my first one ever) in my freshman year of high school. I went to the nurse and she called crisis for me because I thought I was having a heart attack and I couldn't calm down. When they came and talked to me they said they would have mom call them or that they would call her and figure something out for me. So I went home at the end of the day and my mom told me I wasn't going back to school the next day I was going to an out patient facility called the meadows. I thought here we go again. But that place saved my life. The other people there and the counselors they saved me from myself when I was drowning. This is where I met my very best friend in this world who continues to help save my life and save me from myself Joy Luna. Along with a lot of other amazing people. One day the counselor that was on my case called my mom and said she was cutting contact with the school because they didnt have my best interest at heart and it was up to her if she wanted to continue to keep them in the loop from her end she didnt, and when I got out of my program I essentially dropped out of school because it wasn't a safe place for me. If you've read this far here's how I'm doing now... I'm happy I'm on my meds and am working everyday on being healthier in every way. If you ever need help im here for you as a non judgemental shoulder to cry on. But if you someone anonymous here's the national su***de prevention hotline number 800-273-8255 . If you need help please reach out you are not alone and please don't make a permanent decision on a temporary problem. Trust me I hated that saying too but its true.
