Today I received a call from a Guest who has been coming to Charles David Salons for 31 years. As an owner my first thought is that I hope she isn’t calling because of a negative experience during her salon visit. She asked if I had some time to talk which I immediately said “of course” I do and she began to tell me a most amazing story. She is going through something, and I never pry, and said that her hair was thinning which was deeply concerning to her. She then explained that her stylist showed her so much kindness and empathy that she wanted Charles (“Buddy”) and I to know. Making time for several visits to see her in her otherwise busy schedule and even got a sitter to watch her child and came in own her off time. She said she listened to her, shared her knowledge, prescribed the right care for her hair and coached her through this most difficult time. Honestly my eyes were filling up with pride. That stylist most recently suffered a great loss of her own and yet she finds it in her heart to extend herself for others in this most caring way. That stylist is Karyn Leadbetter of our Long Pond Road in Plymouth salon. We have always known what a remarkable young woman you are and this is yet another example! Enjoy your bonus as a small token of our adoration and appreciation.

GREAT class today with REDKEN Global Artistic Ambassador “Lindsey Marie Olsen”! This “hands-on” cutting class was worth giving up a day off to LEARN and be inspired. Lindsey truly delivered for Team CD with several cuts our Guests will LOVE! At Charles David Salons we never stop learning and trying to be better for the Guests we serve.

Unlike some curl cuts that heavily shrink or stack layers, the REZO techninque cuts the hair in a way that preserves the curl patterns evenly throughout the head. CD Long Pond Road in Plymouth and Hanover’s, LAUREN SMITH, displayed her talent and training as our only REZO trained and certified stylist.

Some time ago this young Guest came to CD’s DAVID HAMELBURG for an unusual half and half “pop color”. With her prom coming up in a few weeks she decided she wanted to have half dark, half silver which was no easy task and took a few visits to accomplish. David came up with a correctional “game plan” and the results delighted this young Guest…..EXACTLY what she wanted.

Redken’s “COLOR CAMO” blends gray instead of creating an obvious “dyed” look; it processes in 5 MINUTES giving men a subtle “you look younger/rested” effect rather than an obvious haircolor. People will notice you look good….but can’t tell exactly why. MARY DUMUS at CD Long Pond Road in Plymouth showed her Camo coloring and cutting skills for this Guest. LOOKING GOOD!
