Opened in 1965 as Newsome's Super Styles, "Coach Dave", retired USAF MSGT, purchased the business from Harold Newsome in 2005. "Coach" Dave coached Columbia County Recreation baseball from 2000-2010. Everyone around Harlem knew him as "Coach" Dave, hence the name of the shop. THE BARBER SHOP WILL BE CLOSED FRI + SAT (MAY 8 + 9) for Coach Dave to attend the wedding of his nephew, Michael, back home in Lancaster PA. Congratulations Madison + Michael!
Barber Shop will open at approximately 10 :30 AM Wed Apr 29 due to Coach Dave's Dr. appointment

They're calling for 3-6" of snow, heavy at times, starting tonight (1/30) lasting through Saturday (1/31). But in the south, we never know for sure until after it happens....

The barber shop is open this week for regular business hours. We can be reached by Facebook messenger if necessary.

Below are the Barber Shop closures related to Coach Dave's pre-op, surgery, and recovery over the holidays. We are hopeful this cardiothoracic surgery will finally resolve his persistent AFIB/Aflutter issues.

This year we will have a chili bar featuring Coach Dave's homemade chili, and, of course, homemade Christmas goodies - available during normal business hours or until gone.
