Yesterday was INCREDIBLE! We had the opportunity to serve over 93 kids and donate more than $3,500 worth of FREE haircuts at our Back-to-School event! ❤️
And it was about so much more than haircuts. Our amazing sponsors provided sushi, chips & salsa, over 150 hot dogs, drinks, and more! A huge thank you to First Bank Staunton for providing over 60 backpacks for the kids. 🎒
Staunton, thank you for such an amazing turnout. We’ve only been open here for three months, and this community has shown us nothing but love and support. This is the least we can do to give some of that love back.
And YES… AJ’s Barbershop officially has a MASCOT! 😂🙌 The kids and our clients absolutely loved his debut, and we had a blast!
Days like yesterday remind us why we do what we do. Without the community, there is no business. People will always be the most important part of AJ’s Barbershop. From our amazing Staunton team to Luis and Howie coming from Harrisonburg to help on their day off, we couldn’t ask for a better team.

Another great Valley Business Keynote in the books! 🙌
Anytime we close the barbershop early to invest in our team, spend time together, learn, and grow, it’s always worth it. We had an amazing night at VBK connecting with our teammates, local business owners, leaders, and professionals from across the Valley.
One of my biggest takeaways from the night was the importance of human connection. You can’t predict what the future is going to bring, but you CAN build a strong team that’s ready to face it together. That message really hit home for us and reinforced so much of what we believe in at AJ’s Barbershop.
Great conversations, great food and drinks, a lot of laughs, and most importantly, a lot of learning and team building.
A special thank you to the entire Valley Business Keynote committee, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who stays committed to the mission and continues making this event happen year after year.

Today, both AJ’s Barbershop locations will be closing at 2:00 PM as our entire team attends the Valley Business Keynote.
For the past three years, we’ve made it a priority to invest in our team through events like this because we believe the better we become, the better we can serve our clients and our community.
It’s an incredible event organized by an amazing group of people, and we’re honored to be a Legacy Sponsor for the past two years. We’re excited to hear from an outstanding keynote speaker, connect with other local business leaders, and continue growing together.
Closing the shop is never an easy decision, but it’s one we’re proud to make. When one team member learns something new, our entire team benefits. Today, that means 13 different perspectives, ideas, and lessons that we’ll bring back to serve you even better.

Had a great time at the Coffee & Connection event at Stuart Hall School last week! Dustin and Aj from our Staunton location had the chance to meet so many wonderful people from across the county and learn more about this incredible school.
The campus is absolutely beautiful, and it was impressive to see all the opportunities Stuart Hall offers its students. Thank you for hosting such a welcoming event and making everyone feel at home.
