2026 was supposed to be our year of zero packaging changes…. which didn’t last long.

Soon after launching our new skincare products, we realized that four of them were not dispensing properly. This was mainly due to the colder weather thickening the product and making it difficult for the pumps to “suck up the product” and push it out.

What then ensued was a MONTHS long journey to find solution that still fit with our values.

We considered aluminum tubes, but we couldn’t find a manufacturer that could guarantee the inner coating (yes, aluminum tubes have an inner coating to prevent leakage and preserve product integrity) was BPA-Free.

So that idea was crossed off the list.

We finally settled on a plastic squeeze tube.

This isn’t an ordinary plastic, though.

The plastic in these tubes is derived from sugarcane!

🌱Why sugarcane?🌱

When it’s grown on degraded land, it helps put carbon back into the soil. Leftover plant material is converted into renewable electricity, powering production without natural gas. And since the sugarcane absorbs carbon as it grows, that same carbon ends up captured in the plastic, pulled straight from the atmosphere.

The result? More carbon gets removed from the atmosphere than gets put back into it.

♻️When you finish your tube, wash it out and recycle it following your local recycling guidelines.

She’s doing her own makeup and getting ready with her mom. There’s something pretty special about those little moments when they go from watching you to wanting to learn how to do it themselves.
And honestly, that’s exactly what we hoped would happen when we started offering free teen skincare + makeup consultations. Our Shop Girls help teens learn the basics, from taking care of their skin and applying makeup to figuring out what feels right for them and creating a look that’s age-appropriate.
