Because I’ve been getting A LOT of questions and appointments from customers wanting me to “weld” jewelry that was previously advertised to them as permanent, I wanted to clear up a little confusion.

There is a difference between clasp-less jewelry and welded permanent jewelry.

Many jewelry businesses (not all) offer clasp-less jewelry where a jump ring is simply closed to connect the chain. While it may be worn without a traditional clasp, that does NOT make it permanent jewelry.

✨ If it is not WELDED, it is not welded permanent jewelry. ✨

When you’re purchasing permanent jewelry, don’t be afraid to ask questions about exactly how the piece is secured.

Welded = the chain is connected by a small weld.
Clasp-less = the chain is connected by a closed jump ring.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with either option — I just want customers to know what they’re paying for and understand the difference.

Before you book, make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. Ask: “Is the chain actually welded, or is it simply connected with a closed jump ring?” 💕✨
