I posted about wanting a cat and made all my friends aware that I was looking. Reggae Roots Farm and North End Little Pantries called me soon after about a kitten they found in need of assistance. Without any hesitation I drove to the store to buy pet supplies and met them in the parking lot to rescue this baby. I didn’t ask what color the cat was or the gender because I didn’t care. When I got Penelope she was full of fleas, had worms, and a bad upper respiratory infection. The vet said she would not have made it much longer on the streets. After many more vet trips and lot of care she is healthy and has become our favorite pain in the side and the ruler of the house.

Real cat lovers love all cats regardless of what they look like. We’re just happy to live amongst these silly little creatures. Black cats are less likely to be adopted anyway so I’m glad we found her.
