How it started vs How it finished. I just say the Friday was an emotional day. Amaurie completed her internship and has headed back to Dallas. I am beyond proud to poor into to this sweet f dedicated young lady. I know that God is going to bless her tremendously because of her servant spirit and tenacity to pursue her goals. I hope you learned more than expected and that we put you in a position to take on the dreams of entrepreneurship of the beauty industry.

“Beating the Odds”

Today I had the privilege to speak to the girls at “Cares”Canopy school. I shared my story from almost failing the 3rd grade, remedial college courses, young mom at 19, loss college band scholarship, academic probation and pregnant with 2 other children while enrolled in Cosmetolgoy school with only 3 weeks each of maternity leave. 3 children 3 and under at the age of 22. Guess what?? I persevered.



The poverty mindset almost took me out but I was determined to continue toward my goals.

Hey guys!! Help me welcome our summer intern all the way from Texas. Ms Amarie reached out about furthering her skill set and knowledge as an upcoming stylist. She has completed Cosmetolgoy school as well as passed her board certifications. She will use these tools as experience to take back to Dallas. She’ll implement greeting clients professionally, shampooing techniques, cutting, color, silk press techniques as well as locs and extensions. Looking forward to seeing her expand her knowledge base in the next 2 months. Give it up to Amarie.
