We had the opportunity to sit down with Boston 25 News during their Haverhill Zip Trip and share a little bit about The Artist’s Loft, the community we’ve built, and why creating an inclusive salon where people can show up exactly as they are matters so much to us.

We hear pretty often that what we’re doing here is “one of a kind”, while that means more to us than we can put into words, there’s something we strongly believe:

It shouldn’t be one of a kind.

Inclusivity shouldn’t be exceptional
Accessibility shouldn’t be exceptional
Leading with kindness, listening to people, respecting their identities & cultural differences, meeting them where they are, and making space for different needs shouldn’t be what sets a business apart.

It should be the STANDARD

Not just in the beauty industry, but in the way we move through the world.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built, but the goal was never to be special because we care about people. The goal is to keep showing what’s possible when care, creativity, education, and human connection are treated as non negotiables. We dont claim to be perfect but we certainly learn and grow everyday to be more adaptable in the future.

Getting to represent Haverhill, MA and talk about that on Boston 25 was pretty freaking cool

Sensory friendly doesn’t mean every appointment has to be silent. It means your appointment can flex around what helps you feel comfortable that day.

Your hair appointment should work with your brain and body, not ask you to fight against them for hours.
