Can I be honest for a second?

Every time I post a claim about cupping or my style of massage, or share the results a client has had, I worry someone is going to read my post and think: that’s not the experience I had, or, I didn’t get results like that.

Ah. That good ol’ imposter syndrome sneaking in.

And when it does, I remind myself of a few things.

Every experience with bodywork is subjective.

One client’s amazing results doesn’t mean every client will have the same results.

And one client not getting the result they hoped for doesn’t automatically mean the work is ineffective.

Bodywork changes constantly.

It evolves with every session, every client, every question, every class.

I also don’t take a lack of results from years ago as proof of my work now, because now I have more experience and more tools.

And one person’s outcome is not a universal truth.

That matters if you’ve been on my table before and thought, well, I didn’t get that result.

And it matters if you’re coming in because you saw someone else’s result and you’re hoping for the same thing.

What worked for them gives me information. It gives me ideas. It may even give me a place to start.

But you’re still you.

Your history is different. Your body is different. What you respond to may be different.

So no, I can’t promise you someone else’s result- but I can pay attention to yours.

Hi I am Megan, LMT here. I make field calls for special bovine who are due any day. Chili is showing all the signs of approaching calving- so with too much free time we had a good session of chin scratches, back rubs, and even some hip work. She isn’t a fan of pin and stretch- so I leave them hooves alone. Pretty soon we’ll have another Mountain Meadow Massage Mascot at work who will be SO excited to see you all😍

For a serious note-

Prenatal Massage is an important part of pregnancy. It improves circulation, releases muscle tension, supports better sleep (hello the myth of 3rd trimester), helps reduce swelling, and enhances flexibility in preparation for labor.

I have a last-minute opening Thursday morning at 9:15AM for 30 minute massage or cupping. Message me to claim it.
