Today reminded me that this work has never just been about waxing.

One of my regular clients came in today, and she shared that her cancer has returned.

I’ve known her as vibrant, strong, full of life, laughter, and light. So to see someone who usually carries so much strength sitting in a place of heartbreak was incredibly difficult.

As service providers, we spend years learning techniques, products, and skills. But nobody teaches you what to do when someone sits in your chair carrying a burden you can’t fix.

Normally, I get the privilege of helping people reconnect with their confidence. Today, I realized that sometimes the most important thing I can offer isn’t a service—it’s simply being present.

To my client: thank you for trusting me with your vulnerability. I am praying for your strength, your healing, and your peace.
