Let’s talk safety! I get asked tons of questions about the safety of using a UV light around the eye are. You can see in the photo the spot size of the actual light • it is targeted right at the lashes and never hits the skin • We also use UV blocking black eye pads on your upper and lower lids to protect the surrounding skin • With each lash applied it gets a flash of 1/5 of a second• On the nerdy side when we’re talking about the light spectrum UV light is from 0-400 nanometers • 400 is the transition point where UV becomes visible light that we all see •This light is formulated at 398, so just barely inside that UV scale, very mild and gentle. • in the average full set appointment where I’m applying around 200 lashes per eye you will get about 2 mins total of UV exposure • you get more UV exposure walking in from your car• If you’d like to learn more about this process feel free to message me I’m happy to chat with you.

I am beyond excited about this revolutionary new lash adhesive. It uses a very mild UV light to cure the adhesive. I’ve been testing this product out on many clients for last couple of months and have had phenomenal results and feed back. Gone are the days of coming in every 2 weeks with half your lashes falling out. With this new adhesive most clients are easily going 3-5 weeks between fills and coming back with loads of lashes still on!

*UV light?? That may sound a little scary to some! And I get it!! When I first heard about this technology a couple of years ago my first thought was NO, that sounds like a bad idea! But though TONS of research ( anyone who truly knows me, knows I’m a total nerd at heart) and talking with different companies about this technology I quickly changed my tune. This light emits the lowest level of UV exposure on the market, and is adjustable for every clients comfort level. I also use UV blocking pads on your upper and lower lids for even more safety assurance.

The health of your lashes and especially your eyes has and always will be at the fore front of all my lash procedures.

A few of my favorite benefits of using this new adhesive besides being able to go 3-5 weeks between fills…….. is that you no longer have to wait 24hrs to get your lashes wet! Imagine being able to go straight from your lash appointment to hot yoga, the beach, out on your boat! The best part is with this adhesive we have virtually wiped out adverse reactions!! Since the glue is 100% cured in the 1/5th of a second flash from the light there are no lingering fumes to cause redness, swelling or irritation!
