I’m not one for posting my personal business on facebook but I feel that I need to set the story straight and defend myself and my reputation.
As most of you already know that I will be opening a new salon at the same location that I have been working at for almost 14yrs . This is not something I wanted to do but was forced into when the owner Lisa Jones of Tangled Up announced her retirement date of May 28, 2025 and the sale of her “business “ for $25k . I tried my best to explain to her that she didn’t have a business to sell , only 14yr old used/ broken furniture . The name of the business has no value when you don’t have employees to go with said business and no inventory.She didn’t have a current lease agreement because she never resigned her lease. Not to mention you can’t sell your clients. She wouldn’t listen so I started looking for a new location to open my own salon because I knew this ship was going down . By now Lisa had lowered the price to $15k . I looked at several locations and had decided on one but first I figured I’d make Lisa an offer for way more than the value of her furniture just to throw it out . I told her this was strictly a business transaction and didn’t want it to come between us. She declined my offer which was equivalent to $7,200. Plus
I waited 2 weeks for her to change her mind . By this time it was the beginning of March and the clock was ticking for myself and the other 2 booth renters . Our businesses were at risk and I had a decision to make. On March 3rd the owner of the shopping center offered me a 5 yr lease beginning June 1 because they knew they were going to end up with another empty unit because Lisa had nothing to sell . I decided to sign the lease and finally there was a sigh of relief. I knew that Lisa would be furious and turn on us . I’ve worked with her long enough to know her ! She found out on March 21 and stopped talking to me . On April 7 all 3 of us received certified letters telling us to vacate the salon by May 10 . Knowing I was booked up with clients until May 24. I came to work everyday and did my job but she made it a toxic environment from March 21 until we left on May 13 , When she threatened to call the police because I was trespassing .
She stopped speaking to our clients and turned her clients against us for no reason at all. I did nothing wrong. Our businesses had to go on . I could have just signed the lease and never offered her a dime . She is so fake and 2 faced. I’m attaching screenshots of our conversations and the offer and the certified letter. Feel free to share this post so maybe her clients will know the truth.
