Why Botox® vs “other Botox” is actually different- PART 2

⚠Units are NOT standardized across brands!!
A “unit” of Botox:
Is measured specifically for Botox® Cosmetic

A “unit” of Dysport:
Is measured using a completely different system

⚠️ Meaning:
1 unit ≠ 1 unit across brands
20 units Botox ≠ 20 units Dysport
It often takes 2–3x Dysport units to achieve a similar effect

👉 So when someone says:
“$10/unit vs $5/unit”
…it’s not a real comparison.

*Be sure when you are price shopping you know for a fact that are comparing brand name to brand name. It's ok to ask to see the vial they are injecting you from! Remember this is a MEDICAL treatment and as a patient you have the right to have full transparency!
