Robby here! Let's talk about piercing guns and why not to use them!
First and foremost, a piercing gun is incapable of being properly sterilized. These devices can harbor blood-borne pathogens and bacteria from anyone they've touched, making them a sanitary nightmare.
Second, a piercing gun is not a precision instrument. Placement, angle, and anatomical differences are not able to be properly compensated for with these devices. A traditional tri-bevel piercing needle puts the accuracy in the hands of your piercer, ensuring a trained eye and hand.
Third, piercing guns use blunt force trauma to impale rather than pierce. The end of a piece of jewelry is far from sharp enough to ensure a clean incision, and tissue shattering is standard as a result of this. A piercing needle, with its three sharp edges, creates a clean crescent shape incision, allowing tissue to be displaced to accommodate a jewelry post. This is much healthier for the healing process.
If you're interested in working with our clean and talented piercing staff, hours are as follows!
Tuesday 11-7
Thursday 11-7
Friday 11-7
Saturday 11-7
Thanks for taking the time to stay educated and informed!

🖤 The needles are taking a tiny midweek vacation...
There won't be a piercer in the shop Wednesday or Thursday, but don't panic—Cherie returns Friday and Saturday, fully caffeinated & ready to poke, style, and add a little sparkle to your collection. ✨
…
Until then, enjoy a peek at some of the fun, and wonderfully unhinged decorations I've been cooking up around the shop. Swing by this weekend, admire the chaos, and maybe leave with some fresh bling. We fully support good decisions... and questionable ones with excellent jewelry. 😉
