Roots,highlights, cuts, and extensions!!
Color correction is a JOURNEY, not always a one-appointment destination. 🤎✨
Today with Ruby, we started with Malibu C CPR to help remove some of the previous artificial pigment and see what we were working with underneath.
From there, we went in with Keune lightener, and I was seriously impressed with how soft and hydrated her hair felt after lifting. 🙌🏼 We addressed her roots and finished with a Keune toner to bring everything together.
Were we completely finished? Nope! Her roots grabbed a little darker than we were aiming for, and rather than keep pushing her hair today, we decided this was a great stopping point. Hair integrity > rushing the process. 👏🏼
Next appointment we’ll do a test strand first, make any adjustments needed at the root, and start adding highlights back into her raw lift to create the dimension we’re ultimately going for. ✨
Sometimes being a colorist means knowing when to keep going…and knowing when to STOP. 🤎

You were full of beautiful hair, big color changes, Alaska skies, fresh air, family moments, laughter, and a whole lot to be thankful for. 🥹
I’m especially grateful for every single person who sat in my chair this month. Whether we went blonde, brunette, dimensional, bold, glossy, or somewhere in between — thank you for trusting me with your hair. 🤍✂️
And somewhere between the foils and formulas, I got to sneak away and soak up a little Alaska too. 🏔️🫐💕
Now it’s hello, September. 🍂✨ I’m excited for new clients, returning faces, fall hair, new opportunities, and whatever God has planned next.
