🇺🇸As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, I wanted to wish everyone a safe, happy, and wonderful holiday week!

I also want to thank each and every one of you for the incredible support you’ve shown me over the years. Your loyalty, kindness, and friendship have meant more than you’ll ever know.

As many of you know, the shop is currently in the process of transitioning to new ownership, and I’m grateful to still be here during this exciting time. If you’re in the area, stop by, say hello, and meet the new owners. They’re looking forward to serving our wonderful community, and I know they’ll appreciate the same support you’ve always shown me.

As we continue through this transition, we’re excited for the official Top Rank Barbershops grand opening in the near future. Stay tuned for more details—we can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with all of you!

A quick clarification since I’ve had several people ask. 😊

I am not fully retiring and disappearing!

I will still be around and helping with the transition, and I’ll continue working on a limited basis by appointment. I’m simply stepping away from the day-to-day responsibilities of owning and managing the shop.

I also want everyone to know that the barbers taking over are phenomenal. They are experienced professionals who care deeply about their clients and the barbering industry. I have complete confidence in them and truly hope you’ll continue supporting them just as you’ve supported me over the years.

This isn’t really a goodbye , it’s simply a new chapter for all of us.

After over 40 years behind the chair in the Helotes area , including 27 years working for another wonderful local barbershop before becoming owner of Helotes Barbershop almost 15 years ago , it’s time for a new chapter in my life. ❤️

This decision was not easy, because this shop, my clients, and this community have meant so much to me throughout the years. I’m truly beyond grateful for every single person who has walked through our doors, trusted us, supported us, and helped keep local businesses alive.

To my longtime loyal clients… thank you for standing by me all these years.
To the newer families and residents moving into our growing community… thank you for choosing to support small local businesses like ours. Your support helped businesses like mine continue to survive and grow, and I will always appreciate that more than you know.

As of June 1st, the shop will officially begin a new journey with new ownership. I’m happy to say the new owner is an experienced individual barber who owns multiple barbershops in San Antonio, along with a barber supply business. While he has several successful shops, this is not a corporate chain company , it’s still being passed into the hands of someone who understands the barber industry, values community, and believes in keeping that hometown barbershop feel alive. Not to mention they are phenomenal barbers.

While the shop name will eventually change, the goal is to continue keeping the same welcoming atmosphere and hometown feel everyone has loved here through the years. I’ll also be helping with the transition to make it as smooth as possible for both the clients and the new team. They’ll occasionally be offering specials and bringing exciting new things while continuing the tradition of taking care of our community.

As for me… I’m finally ready to slow down a little, spend more time with my grandchildren, travel, enjoy life, and enjoy more time with someone very special to me. I still plan on working some by appointment, just not nearly as much. 😊

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the memories, friendships, conversations, laughter, and support throughout the years. This community has meant more to me than words can ever express.

Please continue supporting local businesses and continue supporting this shop as it moves forward into its next chapter. ❤️
