Introducing Light Therapy ✨

If you’re unfamiliar with light therapy, it’s magical!

Light is made up of particles called “protons” which have the ability to pe*****te deeper into the skin than any topical product possibly can. Products such as moisturizers, masks and serums can only pe*****te the skin about 1-2 millimeters whereas light can pe*****te about 25 millimeters! This makes for a MUCH more effective facial! My FDA-cleared light therapy device is made up of three lights:

❤️RED: Anti-aging. Highly effective in stimulating collagen and elastin production.
💙BLUE: Creates anti-bacterial affects for aiding in eliminating acne.
❣️NEAR-INFRARED: Decreases inflammation, aids in PAIN MANAGEMENT and increases circulation. Increased circulation allows nutrients and oxygen to be delivered to tissue so it can heal faster.
..in addition, light therapy increases serotonin, the chemical in our body which helps with reducing depression and anxiety.

As an adult, I RARELY spend time in the sun. But when I do, I am VERY diligent about wearing my Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen. However, since this “quarantine” began I’ve been spending more time in the sun than I have in YEARS. And my skin is starting to show it! The hyperpigmentation you see in these unfiltered photos is something drastic that has happened to my skin within the last 3 months. Unfortunately, some of this damage is also from sun exposure from my love of tanning beds in my teenage years and early twenties as well. This damage to our skin cells can take decades to make their grand appearance on our skin. This is why it’s so important to wear a Broad Spectrum SPF 30 or above beginning as early as possible! Hyperpigmentation can be challenging to get rid of but it’s not impossible. Being diligent with a high quality Vitamin C, Retinol and SPF can help. As well as professional treatments such as chemical peels (however-not recommended in the summer months). Today I dropped off my FINAL of 45 Gift Bags to my regular clients homes! 🙌🏼
They were left as a surprise on each of their doorsteps so they could perform a “Mini-Facial” on themselves during the Covid-19 Shut-down. It was a challenging but rewarding project and I was flattered to find out how far many of you travel to my small business to get your monthly facials! 🤍 I compiled some IG stories which I couldn’t post until now because it would have ruined the surprise for other Clients.
