So many of my clients have been asking me “what are some small things I can do to help my skin?” and this is such an encouraging question as an esthetician!! Of course, we believe that having healthy skin that we love is a process and a commitment BUT I think that every small step can be a step in the right direction! Here are a few tips that helped my skin inflammation and breakouts!!

FIND A SERUM FOR YOUR SKIN ⟡ Serums are the ultimate way to bump up your at home skincare routine! Get a consult from your esti (if you’re lucky, it’s me ;)) and ask what serums they think will help you!

DON’T OVER EXFOLIATE ⟡ This, this, this! Stripping your skin of its protection and moisture will only make it worse! Routine exfoliation is great but everything in moderation is the best method for skin care.

USE SPF ⟡ You’ve heard it a million times but I promise you in six years will thank you for protecting your skin from accelerated aging, hyperpigmentation and dryness.

DOUBLE CLEANSE ⟡ Most acne is caused by not properly cleaning your face! At night, cleansing with dual cleansing method will save your skin! It seems like overkill but 2 mins per cleanser is the way to go!

DONT USE BOILING HOT OR FREEZING WATER ⟡ Your skin is your protection from the outside world! Why are you trying to burn her or freeze her out?? Using lukewarm water to wash your face is PERFECT!

USE THE CORRECT PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SKIN ⟡ Those tiktok girls do not know your skin!!! And just because it’s trending doesn’t mean that is great for you! This is why an esti/client relationship is so important! We are full of knowledge of what to recommend to you, specifically. So just ask us!
