Aerolase targets the hemoglobin within the blood vessels, delivering focused laser energy that causes the targeted vessels to coagulate. The body can then gradually clear the treated vessels over time.

The Neo Elite is designed to treat vascular lesions while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin, and Aerolase lists hemangiomas among the vascular lesions it can treat.
