She has practiced and has inactive licenses in both Pennsylvania and Florida, as she spent many years as a snowbird traveling between those states. She is currently licensed in the state of Virginia. She also received her y
oga instructor certification at The Spirit of Yoga in 2005, and ran her own studio for private clients. In addition, she is trained in Ashiatsu massage therapy, also known as “deep feet” therapy and took John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release course in March 2021. Ildikó has also recently graduated from Awakening to Presence (ATP) School. It is an integrated approach to release stressful beliefs, thoughts, emotional, and physical trauma from the body. Many different modalities are used in this approach where the client is supported in a non-judgmental supportive loving way. Her training includes empathetic listening, studies on attachment theory, how to end judgment and the shame associations, Byron Katie work in “Who Would You Be Without Your Story”, subject object relations theory, character patterns, child and brain development into adulthood including the effects of trauma on the brain, just to name a few. Her bodywork training experience also includes deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and cranial sacral methods. She continually pursues a commitment to her own personal and professional growth. Ildikó fuses clinically based techniques, intuition, and technical skills to create an individual experience for each client. She values educating the client about their bodies without shame or judgement, and after your massage, upon request may offer breathing techniques and gentle yogic stretches to incorporate into your daily practice. Ildikó’s wide range of bodywork training and her ability to attune with the client brings an additional depth of presence and understanding to her bodywork, creating a safe holding environment that allows for deep relaxation or release of conditioned habits and thoughts.
