Happy Holidays, babes. 🌟 It’s been a wild year for me, and I’m so grateful for my clients (old and new). Thank you for your support, and specifically, thank you for your patience over the last month as I’ve worked through some health issues and have had to reschedule, postpone, and have been the most dodgy at communicating that I’ve probably ever been in my career. Every year, I grow more and more patient with myself, and every year, I gain more clients who are meeting me where I’m at and understand the struggle of chronic and mental illness and the toll it can have on your life. It’s important for me to note that a lot of you also deal with these struggles, and it means a lot for me to be able to provide a safe place for you to open up about them to someone who gets it.
I’m not going anywhere, though. This career means so much to me! I’m so grateful for the support of and the safety that I’ve found in this space to heal and grow. Thank you again to my clients for your patience, and know that I’ll continue trying my best to show up for you! I am working on getting everyone set back up from the past month whose appointments were affected, and I again appreciate your flexibility and kindness. 💞

Brought my sister in for her annual-ish color appointment where we refresh her highlights and add some fun color, and dare I say, this is one of her most blended looks yet. I’m really proud of the work I’ve done to soften my techniques and make them work for my folks who don’t get to come in as often! I blended with purpley and reddish pinks and finished off with some of my favorite Neuma and Eleven Australia goodies that I’ve got on hand for this lovely shine, along with a k18 treatment to boot. ✨

Fluuuuufffy layers and curly baby bangs for Myndee! Did you know that frizz and fluff don’t have the be the enemy? If they don’t bother you, don’t stress it. Find what works for your curls and your personal style and roll with it. Myndee likes the type of volume they get with their texture when they don’t try to tame it, so I focused on building height and volume and building around their killer bone structure. Thank you for the trust, Myndee!

We had a very orange day at the salon yesterday. 🥹🐱🧡
My boss fosters kittens and brought these sweet bottle babies in. Everyone got lots of snuggles and some of us even got a chance to help with feeding! I think this chunky boy was my favorite, he was so big and goofy. 🥰

Ohhh we killed this one. One of my fav things to do is collaborate with my clients on their ideas. It takes some extra time that’s well worth it, and as I grow in my relationship with folks, it becomes a second language to us. Cosmo wanted neon-lime green with a short wolf cut and to start a rat tail on the side, and dare I sayyy I killed it haha. They have a lot in common with teenage me and have had a bit of trouble getting stylists to hear ‘em out and cut as much hair as they want in the way that they want. And thaaat is why I became I stylist!

I’m so fortunate to get to take care of such cool humans’ hair. 🖤🖤🖤 Grateful that I’ve come a long way with coontails since applying them to my auburn-dyed hair with dollar store black box dye. We all gotta start somewhere. 💀💔👩‍🎤

My gorgeous cousin Harleigh came in for a prep appointment for her wedding (eeee!), and we have been working through some sensitive hair, breakage from a previous other salon visit, and some old lowlights and root color. Some intentional foiling, a custom toner, and a k18 treatment later, this is what we got!
With some of the breakage and some natural baby hairs, she’s the perfect candidate for a foiling/highlighting technique I’ve been practicing more and more this year. If you’ve got a lotttt of baby hairs that drive you crazy, but also don’t mind some lovely, blended highlights, hit me up. 🥰
