Sam is one of my fav people to work with! They’re creative and passionate and earnest, and I never have to wonder where I stand with them (a relief for a neurodivergent person) — which made it even more special to be trusted to shape up their hair! (BTW: styled with Keune Blowout Balm, Cashmere Cloud, and Royal Tribute. I used a curl brush to define the waves while applying product and gently diffused/hand styled after giving the bangs a soft blowout that blended them into the rest of the layers.)

Honestly, it’s a lifestyle and a commitment. I put my heart and soul into it.
Also I’m pretty damn disabled and realistic and I’m not at 6fig income yet. 😂 BUT I am continuing to challenge myself where I can and achieve financial goals. Even if it’s tougher to reach those goals than it used to be when I was able-bodied, focusing on making work a place that I enjoy while embracing my hobbies and a childlike existence day-to-day has been key to existing in this late-stage capitalist hellscape. Have fun, take care of yourself, and set realistic goals that feel good to achieve. 🥰
Btw if you like toys and trinkets, thrift stores (especially locally owned ones) are a fun way to find em. My sweet pals at at run Thrift World in FXBG, VA, and their fall show is coming up next month and is SO sick. For my neurodivergent and disabled clients, I def recommend early bird tix and bringing any mobility aids you need. Some vendors are more accessible than others, but the vendors I’ve interacted with have always been very kind and helpful when I’m using my very bulky walker. I recommend bringing a friend and/or kindly asking for help looking at goods from vendors. 💞 Take your time, bring snacks, and bring noise cancelling headphones or other accommodations you might need!

Sick s**ggy Ramona goodness on my longtime client Maggie 🥹💞 Love this cut and it’s link to alternative subcultures. I had cool friends growing up with this kind shape in their hairstyle and I’ve always loved creating it. The styling is what REALLY makes it. For Maggie’s hair — I used my Keune products at my disposal that I love for this kind of look. High Rise before I finished drying to lift the roots, Good Fibes to piece out the bangs and front bits, and Free Styler for hold that’ll brush out no problem later. (She needed some good hold because she went straight to see Djo after!)
