Job Overview�Join our vibrant salon team as a Shampoo Assistant/Concierge, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for an exceptional client experience! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, providing outstanding customer service while assisting with hair washing, scalp treatments, and salon organization. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a relaxing environment that keeps clients coming back. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in hair care, retail sales, and salon operations while working alongside talented stylists and professionals.
Responsibilities
* Greet clients warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they walk in
* Perform professional shampooing and scalp treatments using proper sanitation and technique
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all salon stations, including tools and workspaces
* Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments using salon software
* Assist with store management tasks including inventory checks and product displays Qualifications
* Previous experience or interest in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; a passion for beauty and customer service is essential
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
* Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while maintaining a friendly demeanor
* Basic retail sales skills combined with a proactive approach to upselling products such as shampoos, conditioners, treatments, etc
* Willingness to learn about store management procedures including retail math and inventory management
