I’ll never forget the day Tribe Called Quest shot a video near my old block. Witnessing such a massive shift in our culture firsthand was everything. I remember thinking, “The world is watching us.”

That feeling of being part of something bigger, something authentic and ground-breaking, never left me. Most of you know me as the CEO of Babe with a Blade, but before my luxury Brow Boutique and makeup line, I was a girl who grew up in Linden, Queens.

Back then, even as a young g kid, I fully realized I was witnessing greatness—I just knew it felt big. It felt like proof that something legendary could start right where I was standing/ where I was from.

Seeing that level of creativity and influence born in my own neighborhood changed the way I looked at the world. It taught me that you don’t have to look far to find inspiration—you just have to look within your own community.

Looking back now, I’m so proud of where I’m from. Queens gave me the grit, the soul, and the vision to build this brand. The same Queens hustle is what built Babe with a Blade. I carry that “Linden girl” energy with me. Never forget where you started, because those moments are what teach you how to fly. 🤗❤️
