A year ago, I took a leap of faith.

There’s a verse where God reminds us to look at the birds of the air, how they don’t sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet He feeds them. That promise stayed in my heart when I started Maverick Salon. I felt Him telling me, “I will provide—you just need faith.”

So I stepped out and trusted Him.

Now, one year in, I can clearly see His hand in my life. He’s brought the most incredible, kind, and inspiring people through my doors—more than I could have planned on my own.

And here’s the funny part… I’m in my mid-40s, and I used to not give a flip about birds. Now? I’m completely enchanted by them. Every day, I watch them outside my salon window and I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness in the smallest, most beautiful ways.
