Day 1 was lovely despite the hiccups. I’m so incredibly blessed to be here and I’ve already met some amazing sister queens! A stuffed suitcase, 7 garment bags, a carry on, a purse, goodies for my sister queens, makeup and enough hairspray to make Dolly proud or environmentalists very upset. Either way…we’re headed to New Orleans! 🥰💖👑💙

Good morning y’all! Today I don’t want to just bring awareness to my own platform but also the ✨Regal Elegance✨ platform! 👑

My platform is mental health awareness and self care, not only because they are both super important to me but also because they go hand in hand. I have been living with anxiety since 2008, it is not until 2019 that I started going to therapy. With a niece on the way I felt that it was important that I be my best self. I began with what ended as an 80+ lb weight loss and followed with taking care of myself both mentally and emotionally. I was diagnosed with ADHD in October of 2021. For a long time I felt like I was the only one who was dealing with anxiety and depression and now I’m proud to speak about what I’ve been through in hopes that my testimony will help others seek the help that they need to thrive, flourish and live their best lives. 🥰

The Regal Elegance platform is bringing awareness to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 110 adults and children are diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes daily. Which means that someone you know or love lives with this disease. I cannot wait to wear my blue in Nola to represent those who fight for healthier lives daily and hope that a cure will be found. This time next week I will be in Nola with my fellow Queens and I have to say I’m a little emotional about it. Being a Queen is so much more than beauty. It is also being a shining light in a sometimes dark world through your actions and abilities. I’m so thankful that I am going to be able to go to Nationals and shine bright. ✨💎 Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me in this endeavor. Especially my family. Hope to make my city and state proud! 💖👑

Good morning & happy Friday y’all!

I just wanted to announce my platform officially. It will be mental health and self care! Everyone knows I am very much a ✨Treat Yo Self✨ kinda gal but as someone who deals with anxiety, depression and to top it all of a formal diagnosis of ADHD just a over a year ago sometimes it’s not so easy for me and millions of others. I want to use my platform to let ppl know it’s ok to not be ok, it’s ok to ask for help and things WILL get better. I also want to be a beacon of encouragement for others throughout my community and hopefully one day nationwide and worldwide through pageantry and my love for helping and serving others.

With that being said, please go forward today being kind to yourselves and others. The world needs more of that.💖👑

Last month I was blessed with the opportunity to serve at the community breakfast alongside one of my best friends at Northwood Community Center! I helped in the clothes closet and LOVED IT! On august 7th we’ll be serving dinner and the clothes closet and food pantry will be open to EVERYONE! Spread the word, sign up to volunteer and donations are ALWAYS welcome!!! 💖👑

Tonight I got to meet some of the queens who are both reigning and competing and we practiced interview questions! It was fun to not only get to know them but to get some great tips! Less than a month till Nola and I’m so excited!!! 🥰👑💙
