In memory and honor of Yayoi Kusama, an artist famous for her works of dots, mirrors and fields of color. She began experiencing vivid hallucinations as a child. In 1977, she voluntarily entered a psychiatric hospital and stayed there for the rest of her life while continuing to work from a nearby studio. Recognition for her art was slow to come, but in 1993 she represented Japan at the Venice Biennale. In 2017 in Tokyo, Kusama opened her own museum. She passed away in August.
