Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) softens and calms, while Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) keeps the blend feeling clear and grounded rather than heavy.
It’s a simple way to reset, just enough to take the edge off and move into the rest of the day more comfortably.
Ingredients
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
- 5 drops Elemi Essential Oil (Canarium luzonicum)
- 1 blank aromatherapy inhaler
Instructions
1. Drop the essential oils directly onto the cotton wick of the blank inhaler.
2. Slide the wick into the inhaler sleeve and snap the bottom into place.
3. Use as needed: three slow breaths through each nostril, eyes closed, before you lie down.
Thymely substitution. If you don’t have Elemi on hand, this is where the app becomes especially useful.
I ran low recently and used the in-app assistant, Thymely, to find a substitution. It suggested Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), since it comes from the same botanical family and offers a similar kind of grounding support. I kept the drop count the same, and the blend held together beautifully.
It’s the kind of adjustment you can make quickly, without having to stop and dig through references, because the information is already there and easy to work with.
