1st photo was her inspiration. Second, third and fourth photos are the end result. She came in with a solid brown color on her hair and wanted more of a pop of color. I delivered and she was thrilled. Knocked this one out of the park!

Background:
This sweet lady called earlier this week with a hair emergency, and scheduled with me for a Color Correction service, prior to a graduation she has plans to attend next week.

She came in with a level 6 permanent color mistakenly applied to her blonde highlighted hair. She is normally a highlighted blonde and had sought more highlights. Unfortunately, rather than receiving more blonde highlights, color was applied, which turned her blonde hair into a level 6 with darkened, honey colored highlights.

Correction Process:
I clarify shampooed her hair, gave her a haircut to remove some of the damaged ends and framed her face. I blow dried her hair and applied Joico Defy Damage Pro Series 1 and I then used foils to recreate her highlights, using Matrix Lightner and foils, beginning with 20 volume Developer and ending with 30 volume from her crown to the front of her head, picking out the already highlighted strands. I managed to lift her to a level 8 and 9. She requested a bright money piece to frame her face, which I glady did for her, which lifted to a solid 10 . I then root smudged her highlights with a 6-1/2N in Shades EQ and toned the rest of her highlights with 2/3 10vv, 2/3 9GV, and a little 9 GI to keep some warmth. I let this set for 10 minutes, then combed from the root to the end, dragging some of the 6-1/2N through to give a more blended look to her roots, and let it set for 5 minutes. And this was the result after blowdry.

She absolutely loved it and said she would be back for me to continue doing her blonde highlights and working more of the 6N out of her hair, until she is nothing but this lovely blonde!

Thank you Christine, for trusting me with your Color Correction, and for choosing me to continue to be your Colorist in the future. It was such a joy working with you. And I look forward to seeing you again, to retouch your highlights.

Please feel free to share.
