A final studio update...

Hello Loves,
Happy August and Happy Friday, I hope this reaches all of you well.

I wanted to jump on and share that Friday October 29th will be my very last day at Ahead of Style after 9 years!

What a blessing and experience it has been, to have been able to be with all of you for this long, and I cant believe the time has come for this chapter of my life to come to an end.
It has been an honor to know all of you and build wonderful friendships and relationships that I'm sure will carry on for many years to come.

Some of you know this summer has been one that has brought many challenges and changes to me, and with that I'm sad to share that I am ending my time without the transition of my mom Lisa taking over, like we had originally planned.
I truly believe all things happen for a reason, even when we don't quite understand why, and believe the timing on this was just not right for us at this time.
I trust, hope and know all of you will be met with someone wonderful who can help care for you and your nail, skin and waxing needs.

Im excited to share I will be starting a new position in the Vancouver area at the beginning of September, that will take me into new places as an individual and professional.

With all that being said, my schedule is limited, as I'm currently only working 2 days a week (Tues & Fri, 10am-7pm) for the next 2 months as I transition my job.

I would love to see as many of you as possible before then, so please reach out if you would like to schedule an appointment!

Please understand I will do my best to accommodate appointments, however I'm currently booked out 4 weeks to the week of September 13th, and am encouraging rebooking out multiple appointments at a time if you know you would like in before I say farewell!

I am learning to just be. To just be still, to just be me, to embrace my human, my spirit and the path, that is ahead.

Theses last few months have been transformative, challenging and beautiful, and it’s really amazing how when you just be, life takes you by the hand and shows you the way.

It is with great excitement I announce, starting August 3rd, my beautiful mama Lisa Pruett will be joining me in a year of transition at the Studio. She is a seasoned Nail Tech pro of 25 years and the woman who taught me all I know about being a kick ass nail tech!

She will be coming on 3 days a week
(tues, thurs, sat)
and I will be staying on 2 days
(wed, fri)
as I plant roots, and play with all that is unfolding around me. Honestly, not even we saw this coming, and that’s what’s so fun about the push and pull of life!!

We are so excited to work together over the next year, and support each other in this transition for both of us, and she is beyond excited to be back in the salon doing what she loves!! A coming home so to say, as this is the salon she was at when she moved her business to her home many years ago!! 🥰

We can’t wait to share more and will soon!

Happy May, Loves!!

I've got some big news!!

It is with great excitement and sadness (basically all the feels!)
that I share the ending of my time at Ahead of Style Salon and Spa, with my last day being
Friday July 30th!

July will mark 8 years of running my little nail and esthetics business, and I couldn't have been as successful at what I've done without all of you amazing people, who have supported me over the years!
I will miss each and every one of you and the unique and amazing friendships we have built within the 4 walls of my little treatment room.

Im looking forward to leaning into my next business adventures and planting my roots in the Vancouver, Washington area with my husband and dog!

With all that being said, I wanted to share this news, so I can make sure to connect with all of you wonderful people before my time comes to an end and I close my business.

I am now accepting bookings through the end of July and my schedule is filling up quickly! Don't miss out, id love to see you!

Happy March, Loves!!

I feel like I always say it, but I can't believe it is already March, and the beginning of spring!

I don't have too much to say today, but I did want to let you all know that, since its been a while, I'll be running a few specials to celebrate spring!

First I'll be offering 10% off all newly booked Mani/Pedi combos scheduled for the month of March!

I also want to share and remind everyone that while it is not on my menu as a current offering, I am a Reiki Energy Healing Practitioner. I've been feeling a deep pull to share more about this, so here it goes!

It's sooo important that we not only take care of our physical bodies, but also our emotional and energetic bodies!

Our bodies hold memories, trauma, and old patterns we don't even realize we are carrying with us. By receiving Reiki Healing, it puts you in alignment with your soul self, and meets you with exactly what you need in that moment, whatever that looks like for you.
Reiki is a beautiful tool for relieving and calming the nervous system, anxiety/depression, and can even help with physical pain, plus so many other amazing uses! If anything, you will feel extremely relaxed and calm afterwards, like you had the most restful nap or nights sleep!

Reiki is even becoming a more commonly used and recognized modality within modern medicine and is used as a complementary wellness treatment along side traditional treatment within hospitals, especially within the world of Cancer Treatment here in the Portland/Vancouver area.

I'll be offering a 40 min session at $50 for the month of March!
I also have 30 and 60 minute offerings as well.

Hello, loves it has been a while since I have sent out an email!

I hope everyone is doing well, staying safe and enjoying the pops of nice weather we are receiving!

I don't have too much to say today, other than I have a few appointments still available for the month, so if you have been contemplating booking an appointment, shoot me a text or give me a call, and we
can get you scheduled!

Current openings are as followed:
Early evening of Wednesday the 17th
(2 hour time slot)

Early morning/mid afternoon of Wednesday the 24th
(9am 1 hour time slot, mid afternoon 2pm-7pm)

Early morning/mid afternoon Friday the 26th
(9am 1 hour time slot, 2:30pm 3 hour time slot)

Im also very excited to announce I have partnered with Elixir Nail Care, which is a cuticle oil line, and I will be retailing in the studio starting next week!

There are 3 scents available: Peach, Flower and Unscented and it comes in dropper form (15ml) or roll on (10ml)

It will retail at $11.50 for roll on and $12.50 for dropper!

To shake things up, and make it fun, I'll be doing a little giveaway at the end of the month, and the winner will receive a FREE Roll On in your choice of scent, plus 20% off your next booked services!

Happy New Years, Loves!!

Just wanted to send a quick note to say Happy New Years! I hope everyone had a wonderful and cozy holiday. I can’t believe we are in 2021 already!!
(Thank goodness!!)

Most things in the studio are running just as they have been (covid protocols and all) with the exception of my work days starting this week.
My new schedule is as follows:

Tuesday: 9am-7pm
Wednesday: 9am-7pm
Friday: 9am-7pm

About every 6 weeks or so I’m squeezing in a Saturday if needed, for people who are unable to make it during the week.

I also have been utilizing Venmo and Cash app more for payment for services (mostly because of Covid), but it is quickly becoming my preferred form of payment.
I will of course still happily accept any major credit card, but I am charged a fee on the service total, where as with Venmo/Cash App there is none 😊
If you can, please consider using Venmo, Cash App, cash or check for your services.

Lastly, I do still have appointments available during January as soon as next week!! If you’ve been thinking of scheduling let me know!

Holiday nails 😍🎄I’ve got lots of fun Christmas stickers right now 😍

Before and after an IBX Strength and Conditioning treatment on my lovely client! She has thin, dry nail plates that tend to split and want to ridge. This is after one treatment, that we then put shellac over the top. Amazing stuff if you have weak nail plates that need some love. $8 for first treatment and then $5 for every application after that!

Hello Friends,

I hope this is all finding you well! I cant believe the holidays are upon us despite the change of plans this year is bringing with Covid-19.

I have had many of you asking if I will be closing due to the new "Freeze" order starting Wednesday, and I am happy to report that salons and personal services are not affected at this time, so I am OPEN, and will remain so unless told otherwise.

As always your health and safety is my number one priority, and I do not take that lightly, so please know all extra safety and sanitation measures are still in place and are as vigilant as ever.
As we see a rise in cases and shut down of our community, I hope to be a safe, relaxing place for you to come and unwind and get some pampering.

With that said, I do have a few things I would like to ask of my Nail Fam going froward, especially during manicure services and are as followed:

~Please refrain from using your phone at the nail table. I know it is tempting, but phones are dirty, and it distracts from time during your service, and leads to smudges and hair getting onto your nail plate, especially during polishing.

~Please keep your hands on the table during polishing with fingers flat. Avoid touching your face, mask or clothes. I know its hard, but it helps to maximize the time I have making your nails look beautiful!

~Please wear a well fitting mask, that needs little to no adjustments. The goal is to keep our hands off of our face anyway, but mask adjustments lead to fuzz on the nails or in your polish, which takes away from the time I have to focus on making your manicure pop!

I hope you all understand!

My schedule remains Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays with operating hours between 9am-7pm

As of now I have a few holiday openings left available (mostly mornings and evenings), but I am beginning to book into the new year! (CRAZY)
Gift certificates are also available if you'd like to gift a service to your loved one!

I'd also like to share that we have 2 additional Esthetician's who have joined our Salon Fam full time, both offering lash services, along with waxing and facials! Both of them are wonderful and a great recourse, especially if you are interested in Lash Extensions or Lifts!

I am still personally booking all my own appointments, and honestly don't foresee resuming online booking, even once Covid-19 has passed.
I apologize if this is an inconvenience for anyone, but ask for your understanding, as scheduling my own appointments allows more flexibility and openings to be available, that the booking system doesn't recognize.
