🎉 Celebrating Cora’s Next Chapter! Just over a year ago, Cora walked into Element Nail Salon as a fresh graduate from Center for Technology, Essex and a newly licensed Vermont Cosmetologist. During her first in-person interview, we asked her a standard question: "Cora, where do you see yourself professionally in 3 to 5 years?

"Without a single pause, she replied: "Not in Vermont, I hate the cold! In fact, I want to move as soon as my cosmetology license is transferable." ❄️➡️☀️

Normally, hearing a candidate plan their exit before they even get the job is a hiring manager’s red flag. But as we dug deeper into Cora’s goals, we realized she had truly done her homework. She knew she needed solid industry experience and an employer willing to actively back her license transfer with documentation and letters—a unique, often complicated requirement in the beauty industry where states sometimes demand active employer involvement for relocation.

At Element Nail Salon, we recognized that Cora possessed skills well beyond her years of experience. We offered her the position, alongside a commitment to support her future transfer and provide "back-of-the-house" industry insights. Over the past year, we have watched her absorb the business side of beauty, equipping her with the knowledge to run her own shop one day if she chooses.

Please join us in celebrating Cora, who is now officially a proudly licensed Cosmetologist in Tennessee! 🥳

While we will miss her deeply, we are incredibly excited for her new apartment, her new professional journey, and the warmer weather ahead. Cora, the door is always open for a "guest appearance" at Element. Thank you for your hard work, and knock 'em dead in the Volunteer State! 🎸💅
